Erotic Author, Jennifer Jakes-Interview and Giveaway

Welcome to my debut of Wicked Wednesday's where we dive into all things Wicked. That includes naughty fantasies to sex toys to interviews with erotic authors. Consider Wicked Wednesday a day to cut loose and dish about all those things your mother never deemed appropriate.(Don't forget to become a follower of the blog so you don't miss out on any interviews or giveaways!)

Let the fun begin!

Today we welcome erotic author, Jennifer Jakes to the blog. We'll discuss what makes her tick, find out about her up and coming work, and also dive into the goods about her novella, TWICE IN A LIFETIME! (which is available at Amazon and Barnes and Nobel for only .99 cents!) Did I also mention she's giving away an ecopy of TWICE IN A LIFETIME to one lucky commenter today?

Let's get started!

RR: Tell us a little about "TWICE IN A LIFETIME".

JJ: No-nonsense stunt woman Isabella Douglas will do anything to stop an unwanted divorce and reclaim the happy life she had, even allow her old friend to concoct a magical spell to turn back time. But when the spell goes awry, Izzy finds herself trapped aboard a 1768 Caribbean pirate ship with a captain who’s a dead ringer for her sexy as sin husband, Ian. Convinced he’s playing a cruel joke, she’s furious – until she realizes he doesn’t know her or believe they’re married.

Captain Ian Douglas does not have time to deal with an insane woman who claims to be his wife; he has to save his kidnapped sister. But as Izzy haunts his dreams and fills him with erotic memories he can’t explain, he’s forced to admit he feels more than lust.

Trapped in a vicious cycle of past mirroring present, Izzy knows they only have days to find Ian’s sister and prevent disaster from striking a second time. If she doesn’t, their marriage will be destroyed again – along with the man she loves.

RR: What was your inspiration for this wicked story?

JJ: I wanted to write something that was different than the virginal-girl-meets-boy type story. I wanted two lovers who knew each other – and each other’s bodies – very well. :)

RR: Is there a message in your book that you want readers to grasp or was it written for the purpose of pure naughty enjoyment?

JJ: Just naughty pleasure!

RR: Describe your writing process?

JJ: The word sporadic comes to mind. LOL I’m more pantser than plotter, though I usually know the opening scene, the black moment and the end. The rest I let play-out in my head as I write.

RR: How long have you been writing?

JJ: I think this is year 5.

RR: Are there any authors you would name as influences?

JJ: I love Emma Holly’s work and PJ Mellor – who I got to meet last year and she is a wonderfully nice person!

RR: What led you to the erotic genre?

JJ: I always felt something was missing when I read “closed door” sex scenes, so I picked “spicy” books. When I discovered the erotic genre, I was hooked!! It was like what I’d been looking for as a reader. It was a no-brainer for me what I would write. :)

RR: Are you currently working on anything deliciously wicked?

JJ: I’m writing another western historical (my debut novel, RAFE’S REDEMPTION, was an erotic western set in 1866) set in Alaska during the gold rush in 1898.

RR: You've got six key words to describe your own wicked fantasy. What are these six words?

JJ: Alex O’Loughlin. Jake Owen. Naked. Pomegrita (pomegranate margarita). Caribbean. Oral.

RR: Sleepwear: Nude or PJ's?

JJ: PJs (I get cold at night.)

RR: Sweet & chocolaty, or salty & crunchy?

JJ: Salty/crunchy

RR: Hugh Jackman or Brad Pitt?

JJ: Hugh Jackman

RR: What is your all-time favorite "get you in the mood" song?

JJ: Pour Some Sugar On Me

RR: Can you share a wicked excerpt with us today? (the naughtier, the better! *wink*)

JJ: “Mmm.” Ian watched her wander to the window and stare at the water, knuckles white as she gripped the sill. His wife was a bad liar.

She turned, smiling a little too brightly. “Why don’t you come to bed? You look exhausted.” Grasping his hands, she tugged him to his feet.

“I thought perhaps we’d have a drink.” He strolled to the cabinet and uncorked the rum. “We were going to talk. Remember?” His confidence bloomed at her panicked expression. She was hiding something, and he intended to find out what.

“Could it wait until tomorrow?” Her words brushed his bare shoulder. “I don’t really feel like talking.” Slow kisses tickled down his spine, her tongue warm and wet.

Oh, she would make an excellent spy. Sex as a diversion. Well, it would not work— at least not on him. But testing her resolve promised to be a delight. Just what secrets would she divulge while in passion’s grasp?

He turned, trailing a finger down the V in the shirt, across the soft skin between her breasts. “What do you feel like doing?”

A seductress’s smile curved her mouth, a smile so tempting his resolved nearly faltered. She gripped the hem of the shirt and inched it up over her body. Long legs. Wide hips. Firm breasts…Deuce! Sweat prickled his scalp. Heat roared through him. Dark blonde curls shaved into a thin strip topped her cunny.

She dropped the shirt to the floor and lifted her dark gaze.

Damn, this would be harder than he thought. How could he drive her to distraction when he couldn’t think for the painful throbbing of his erection?

“Those pants look a little tight.” She cupped his length, rubbing her palm from head to ballocks. “Why don’t you take them off?” One button, then two and tropical air caressed his cockhead. Her hand covered him, gave him a gentle twist as if he was her personal door knob, slicking the moisture already gathering from his slit.

“Let’s move to the bed, first.” Gathering her wrists, he tugged her to the mattress. He couldn’t let her have control, couldn’t make love to Daniel’s spy. “Lie down and place your hands above your head.” How much pleasure could she take before she told the truth?

She grinned. “All right.” She gripped the wooden berth. “Are you going to tie my hands, or do you trust me?”

Trust. Hell, if he knew whether or not he could trust her, he would be bringing her to climax right now instead of staging a sexual interrogation. “I hope I can trust you.”

Whew! That was hot, Jennifer! Just the way I like it. Thank you so much for being the first guest on Wicked Wednesday. Hope to see you again soon!

Super post, ladies.

Hi Linda -
Thanks *grin*.
I wish I could say I just watched Pirates of the Caribbean over and over for research, but in fact I studied maps of Jamaica, what country controlled what islands in the 1700s, pictures of ships - and as always when writing I use a etymology dictionary to make sure the word I want to use existed in the time period.
Not glamorous, but I'm a history geek so it was fun! LOL
Thanks for stopping by today and good luck in the drawing :)

Hi Jennifer,
LOL...I got that alot from Joe Nichols fans :-)

I think the first time I met Jake was at the Grand Ole Opry. It was his first appearance there and he was so nervous, it was cute. He did such a great job.
